in memories
cherished and sweet
we sometimes slip
to re-live a joyful retreat
but, alas, memories are not
what the present moment demands
memories cannot sustain life
only remind
that the "stuff" of which life is made
its quality, its essence
is life-affirming, an intangible inter-play
its the give and take dialogue
of the soul with the "other"
its a bold, sometimes graceful
projection
our unique perception
a loosening of boundaries
of what is "us"
and what is "them"
the "out-there"
inhaling deeply taking in
whats "out there"
an exhaling with abandon
letting loose boundaries, limitations
dissolving
life is a soulful, artful mix
